Google App Engine is fun (and open to all now), but it feels like I am having to work too much around Google's BigTable. I'll probably get used to it, and some parts I love (like being able to store an array in the model is complete win — it completely eliminates the need for several of my tables dedicated to storing information about many-to-many relationships). Their default web framework is also a little primitive, and so it feels like I am doing too much work compared to Rails. Maybe I just need more Django.|
And Python has been crashing on my dissertation. I think it's wxWindow's fault, so I'm running through pdb right now.
